  • What can I expect when speaking with Turtledove Home Care the first time?
Our services begin with a no obligation needs assessment by a registered nurse to determine what services we can offer to create or maintain a safe and dignified environment for you or your family member. This assessment may occur in your home, in the facility where you are currently staying or by phone. We pride ourselves in being problem solvers, troubleshooting challenging scenarios. Many times the outcome of our assessment does not include our home care services, but another solution is deemed best.
  • Are you insured?
Yes. Turtledove Home Care is bonded and insured with a liability policy as well as coverage under a workers compensation policy for our caregivers. We are a registered and certified provider of home care services in the state of Connecticut holding Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Registration #HCA.001268.
  • How do you screen your home care providers?
We choose our caregivers for their experience and compassion. Each caregiver is given a thorough background check.
  • How do you keep families informed of your work? What if I live in a different town or state than my loved one?
We provide family members with online access to your loved one’s calendar, the caregiver’s schedule and status updates from any device with internet access. This gives family members the opportunity to coordinate and schedule events with other family members and caregivers.
  • Is there a minimum or maximum number of hours your caregivers will provide?
We will provide a minimum of three (3) hours of service per week, up to round-the-clock, live-in care for your loved one.
  • What about holidays?
Yes, we provide services on holidays because we recognize your loved one’s needs don’t stop for holidays.
  • Do you provide medical services?
While our Turtledove professionals help with medication reminders and can encourage mobility, they are not medical professionals. Our supervisor oversees all care plans.
  • Do you accept my loved one’s insurance?
Many long term care insurance companies will cover homecare services. Please talk with a member of our professional staff about your specific insurance coverage.
  • How long would it take to put services in place for my loved one?
Turtledove can have services in place for your loved one within 48 hours of your call.
  • Who would I contact if I am interested in working for Turtledove Home Care?
If you are an experienced and compassionate homecare provider, let’s talk! Turtledove is always looking for those special people who are committed to providing compassionate and dignified care to our clients. Click here to access our online job application.
